What separate tools cost, and how we counted

Our pricing page has a cost calculator. Here is what it compares, what it leaves out, and every rule we followed so that it stays fair to the vendors in it.

A company usually buys one tool for each job: team messaging, HR, project management, invoicing. As it grows it adds more, such as a sales tool, a help desk, stock control or a booking system, and something made for its own industry. Each comes with its own vendor, its own bill and its own list of users to keep in step. We sell one account that covers all of that, so the obvious question is what the separate tools cost. We answer it on the pricing page, with a calculator, and we decided to be strict about how.

What it compares

The calculator adds up one tool for each of these jobs, and you can swap in another where there is a choice:

  • Team messaging: Slack Pro, the job OneHall Chat does.
  • HR and people: BambooHR Core, the job OneHall People does.
  • Project management: Asana Starter or ClickUp Unlimited, the job OneHall Projects does.
  • Invoicing and expenses: FreshBooks Plus or QuickBooks Online Simple Start, the job OneHall Finance does.

Take the calculator as it opens: 10 people, paying yearly. Slack Pro, BambooHR Core, Asana Starter and FreshBooks Plus come to $5,705 a year at their list prices, and Pro comes to $959 for the same people. The largest line in that sum is BambooHR’s flat rate for small teams, so try your own team size. Those list prices are as published on 18 September 2026. Prices change, and the pricing page links to each vendor’s page for today’s.

The rules

  • Every competitor figure is the vendor’s own list price, read from its public pricing page. The date we read it is printed beside the comparison, with a link to each page.
  • Introductory discounts are ignored. They end, and a comparison that leans on them misleads in one direction or the other.
  • We compare the lowest paid plan that a team of 10 to 50 people would hold, and we name the plan.
  • If we could not read a price from the vendor’s own page on the day, the vendor is left out. We never estimate.
  • Invoicing tools charge per organization, not per person. We count them once and add no extra seats, which favours them.
  • We say nothing about what another product can or cannot do. This is a comparison of price.

What it leaves out

The sum stops at those jobs. We have not priced rival tools for anything else, and we do not estimate, so the calculator says nothing about what a sales tool, a help desk or a stock system would add to your bill. What we can tell you is our side of it: Pro is one price per person, and it carries every product in OneHall, whichever of them you use.

  • Your team: Chat, Projects, People and Courses.
  • Sales and money: Finance, CRM, Marketing, Websites, Commerce and Subscriptions.
  • Customer service: Helpdesk, Calls, Bookings and Events.
  • Operations: Inventory, Repairs, Logistics and Factory.
  • Made for your industry: Construction, Clinic, School, Hospitality, Property, Legal, Nonprofit and Farm.

What it does not tell you

Those tools do things ours do not, and ours do things theirs do not. If you need bank reconciliation or payroll today, OneHall Finance is not your accounting system yet, and the comparison does not pretend otherwise. What the number does tell you is what you would pay for those jobs from separate vendors, at published prices, for your team size.

Our own prices

One product is $2.49 per user per month billed yearly, or $3.49 paying monthly. Pro, with every product in OneHall, is $7.99 billed yearly, or $9.99 monthly: $95.88 per person for the year. If you need only a few products, buying them singly can be the lower price: three come to $7.47 billed yearly. One more takes them to $9.96, and from there Pro is the lower price, however many you use. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial, and your card is charged only when it ends.

Set your company up this afternoon.

Sign-up asks for your company, the plan, and who to invite, then builds the account: first zones, first project, leave types, currency. You have 14 days before anything is charged.
